Golden hour photos for couples in boots and lace

Red dirt, big sky and the two of you

For weddings with more gravel road than ballroom

You don't need a chandelier or a seating chart. You need somewhere pretty, a few people you love, and somebody who'll tell you when there's lipstick on your teeth. I'll handle the light, the timeline and the walk out to the overlook.

Most of my couples get married in the Painted Hills, up in the Strawberries or on a family place out past Seneca. I photograph the whole day the way it happens: the nerves, the dust, the first dance in the barn and the drive home.

Howdy, I'm Callie

I grew up in Grant County and I still cry at every first look

My dad ran cows on the John Day River and my mom shot every 4-H fair on a film camera, so I came by this honest. I started photographing friends' weddings in 2017 and haven't stopped.

I'm part photographer, part hype girl and part trail guide. I'll help you find the spot, fix your veil in the wind and keep Grandma out of the sun.

real weddings

A couple hugging in a sunlit field of wildflowers
A man carrying a woman piggyback through a field
We got married at six in the morning on a ridge with nine people and a thermos of coffee. Callie hiked up with us, kept the dog out of the shot and somehow made us look well rested.

good to know

Do you travel?

Anywhere in Eastern Oregon is included. Past that, I add gas and a motel night and we call it even.

How far do we hike?

Whatever you're up for. Some of my spots are ten steps from the truck, some are a mile up a ridge.

What if the weather turns?

We pick a backup spot and a backup time when we plan. Wind and a little cloud make the best photos anyway.
