Old schoolBarbering

Two Bit opened in 1958 in the same narrow room on State Street, three chairs and a window full of sun. We kept the chairs, fixed the plumbing and put the coffee on.

We do cuts, fades, flat tops and the kind of hot towel shave your grandpa remembers. No fuss, no forty-dollar shampoo. Just a good cut and a little conversation, if you want it.

I learned on my granddad's clippers in his back porch shop. Twenty years later I still sweep up the same way he did.

GoodQuestions

01

Do you take walk-ins?

Every day we're open. Sign the clipboard by the door and grab a coffee. Saturdays get busy after ten, so book ahead if you're in a hurry.

02

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes, and they get a sucker on the way out. Kids under 12 are $18. First haircuts are free and we save you a curl.

03

Cash or card?

Both. Tips are appreciated either way, and there's a jar by the register for the Little League team.

04

Do you cut short hair on women?

Absolutely. Pixies, undercuts and short bobs are the same price as the classic cut.
