Good coverage, close to home.

Kinney & Rowe has written home, ranch and pickup policies out of the same Main Street office since 1987. Call us and one of us picks up.

We'll still be here when you file the claim.

Insurance is a promise you hope you never need. We keep ours by staying put. Ellen grew up on a ranch up Bear Valley, and Matt coached Little League in town for twelve years. When something goes wrong, you already know who to call.

Why a local agent

One phone call, not a phone tree.

Big carriers are fine until you need a person. We sit across the desk from you, we know the roads to your place, and we'll be at the ballgame on Friday if you have a question.

We shop eight carriers for you

You tell us about the place once. We bring back the two or three policies that make sense and explain the difference in plain words.

Claims help from someone you know

When the wind takes a roof, you call the office, not an 800 number. We help with photos, forms and the adjuster until it's settled.

A review every spring

Calving, a new shop, a kid with a license. Once a year we sit down and make sure the policy still fits what's actually on the place.

One agent for all of it

House, ranch, trucks and the hay. One person keeps track, so nothing falls through the cracks between policies.

Around Grant County

From the house in town to the hay barn on the river.

We write policies for about nine hundred families between Dayville and Seneca. Most of them we've met in person, and a good many we've helped through a claim.

When something goes wrong

Hail on the hay barn? Here's what happens next.

  1. 01

    Call us first

Before the carrier, before the contractor. We tell you what to photograph and what to leave alone.

  2. 02

    We come out

One of us drives out, walks the damage with you and files the claim from your kitchen table.

  3. 03

    We stay on it

We keep after the adjuster until the check is in your hand. You get a call from us every week until then.

From our clients.

"A windstorm took half our shop roof in April. Ellen was out the next morning with a camera and a tape measure, and the claim was paid before first cutting."

"We'd had the same policy for twenty years without anyone looking at it. Matt found we were paying for a barn that burned in 2009. That conversation paid for itself."

Questions we hear a lot.

Do you only insure ranches?

No. About half our clients live in town. We write homes, rentals, cars and small business policies too.

Can you come out to the place?

Yes. For farm and ranch policies we'd rather see it. We drive anywhere in Grant County at no charge.

How fast can I get a quote?

Most home and auto quotes are back the same day. Ranch policies take two or three days while we shop carriers.

Will my rate go up if I file a claim?

Sometimes, and we'll tell you honestly before you file whether a small claim is worth it.

Do you handle crop insurance?

Yes, including hail on wheat and hay. Sign-up deadlines come early in the year, so call us by February.

Can I switch without a gap in coverage?

Yes. We line up the new policy to start the day the old one ends, and we handle the cancel letter.

Ready when you are

Talk to a real agent.

Tell us a little about the place and what needs covering. We'll call you back the same day with questions, or with a quote.
