Your guide, since 2011
Fifteen seasons on one river
I grew up in Ashton, tied my first fly at nine and started rowing for an outfitter the summer I turned nineteen. Fifteen seasons later I run my own boat, and I still love watching somebody land the fish they've been chasing all morning.
I keep trips small, quiet and unhurried. You'll learn something every time, whether it's your first cast or your five hundredth.

Trips and prices
Every trip includes rods, reels, flies and a cooler of drinks. You bring a fishing license, a hat and something warm for the morning.
01. Half-day float $475
Four hours in the drift boat for one or two anglers. Rods, flies and snacks are on me. Good for a first trip or a morning before the drive home.
02. Full-day float $650
Eight hours, a riverside lunch and the shuttle. We'll cover a lot of water and fish whatever's hatching.
03. Walk-and-wade lesson $300
Four hours on foot for first-timers and kids. Casting, reading water and how to land a fish without a guide next time.
Sample prices for one or two anglers. Gratuity is never expected.

New to fly fishing?
- You've watched people cast and figured it looked too hard to learn.
- You've tried on your own and spent more time untangling than fishing.
- You want a day on the water with the kids that ends with a fish, not a meltdown.

Here's how a day with me goes
- We meet at the fly shop at 7 and I fit you for waders and boots.
- Twenty minutes of casting on the grass before we ever touch the water.
- A slow float through the best water for whatever's hatching that day.
- Lunch on a gravel bar, then the afternoon riffles.
- Back at the truck by 3 with photos of every fish.
